RNA splicing

Process of removal of introns from pre RNA and joining of exons in correct ways is called RNA splicing. The pre mRNA, pre tRNA and pre rRNA are processed and spliced by different mechanisms. Pre mRNA and tRNA splicing takes place in nucleus while pre rRNA processing and splicing occurs in nucleolus.  ​​
